WORLD CLASS RACE – 7:30am Start time: World Class \/ World Cup \/ Pro \/ Open \/ Elite \/ Cat 1<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

WORLD CLASS RACE \u2013 OPEN – no age limit<\/p>

*all WORLD CLASS skaters will be scored in the OPEN Division, first!<\/p>

*any 17U or Master skater achieving the OPEN Podium (top 5), will result in \u2018roll-up\u2019 placement for the remaining<\/p>

skaters from within the affected 17U and\/or Master division.<\/p>

**NO cross-drafting between the men and women during the WORLD CLASS race**<\/p>

AGE CLASS RACES – 9:30am Start time (approx): Advanced \/ Fitness \/ Recreational \/ Novice \/ Beginner \/ Cat 2,3,4,5<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

AGE CLASS MARATHON, 25K, 13K, the DOUBLE; *all age divisions<\/p>

*NEW*<\/strong><\/span> NO WORLD CLASS SKATER is allowed to \u2018jump in\u2019 to an Age Class Race w\/o Registering for the DOUBLE!<\/p>

FIVE K FUN SKATE<\/strong><\/span> (Friday – 5:00pm Start time): Registered Skaters ONLY Please! The FIVE K Start line is on the Park\u2019s PATH across the water from the Tower, South of the Bridge. The event runs counter-clockwise on the path(entirely); Finish line is at the water\u2019s edge below the Tower. The FIVE K FUN SKATE is NOT a timed event; therefore, there are no awards. Participants WILL receive a Finisher Medal!<\/p>

FISM \u201cRULES OF THE ROAD\u201d:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

Cross-Drafting between men and women is allowed in all Age Class (9:30am Start) ..non-World Class Races. Skaters are required to wear a helmet, and carry personal identification. Wrist\/hand protection is recommended. Failure to start in the Race you registered for may result in disqualification. Slower skaters please stay to the far right of the roadway. Overtaking skaters – announce yourselves as passing on the LEFT\/right.<\/p>

FISM World Class participants are expected to finish the event within 1:30:00. Any WC skaters still on the race course beyond that time may be directed to skate on the far right (perimeter) of the race course for the duration of their event; in order to maintain the remainder of the event schedule.<\/p>

The Passing or Over-taking of other skaters during a mass start event is the most dangerous condition on the race course. In order to create a safer condition for all participants:<\/p>

All Marathon Distance (7.3 laps), 25K (4.3 laps) and 13K (2.3 laps) participants are requested to move to the right-hand side of the roadway as soon as they have been lapped by faster skaters; and are to remain skating on the perimeter of the course for the remainder of their event.<\/p>

TIMING:<\/strong><\/span> ALL SKATERS \u2013 You will receive a PRO CHIP TRANSPONDER that MUST BE RETURNED after the race. You are responsible for exchanging your TRANSPONDER for your FINISHER MEDAL. A $100 Fee (replacement cost) MUST be assessed to any Skater who\u2019s TRANSPONDER is not returned.<\/p>

RACE NUMBER BIBS:<\/strong><\/span> Your Race Packet contains two race number bibs; x1\/ea to be pinned on BOTH sides of your body. WORLD CLASS SKATERS – Your race numbers are to be pinned to your LEFT and RIGHT hip or thigh. AGE CLASS MARATHON \/ 25K \/ 13K \/ \u2013 Your race numbers are to be pinned to your LEFT and RIGHT hip or thigh.<\/p>

PACKET PICKUP (Friday): <\/strong><\/span>Packet Pick-up is at\/under the NBP Tower. Please make every effort to obtain your race packet on Friday between 12-6:00pm. Late Packet Pick-up (SATURDAY) may be available near the Finish Line.<\/p>

VENDOR EXPO (Friday): <\/strong><\/span>Will be held at\/adjacent to the NBP Tower from 12:00 noon until 6:00pm.<\/p>

ELECTRIC SKATES: <\/strong><\/span>Anyone using electric skates will be ineligible for age group placement awards.<\/p>

PARKING: <\/strong><\/span>Parking ($15) opens at 6:00am at NBP (Park). There is no parking at the Start line.<\/p>

STARTING LINE:<\/strong><\/span> The Remote Starting Line location is 1 mile South (clockwise-against the \u2018grain\u2019 of the race route) from the Finish Line. Please plan accordingly, in order to travel that distance- in time to make your Race Start!<\/p>

RACE COURSE CONDITIONS:<\/span><\/strong> The NW corner of the course; Park Service Road entrance (gated); Lapped\/Slower skaters may be directed to take a right-side-of-the-road, perimeter route through the apex of the turn.<\/p>

WATER:<\/strong><\/span> Race Course Water will be available at two locations on the Race Course. You may require more water or energy (food) during the event. Please carry it with you and dispose of it properly. If you slow or stop at a water station, please stay to the right side of the road to avoid collisions and congestion. Discard trash properly. Bottle caps are dangerous to other skaters!<\/p>

TOILETS:<\/span><\/strong> There are three bathroom facilities within the Park. There will also be porta potties near the Start line.<\/p>

MEDICAL SUPPORT:<\/span><\/strong> All medical expenses incurred by the participant are the responsibility of the participant. First aid will be available on the race course throughout the duration of the event(s).<\/p>

LOST AND FOUND:<\/strong><\/span> The FISM will not be responsible for items lost nor left along the race course.<\/p>

PROTESTS \/ TIMING PROBLEMS:<\/strong><\/span> Should you have a protest, forms will be provided near the preliminary results board at the Timing Trailer. Race Judges will resolve protests involving awards prior to the awards ceremony.<\/p>

RACE RESULTS:<\/strong><\/span> Preliminary results will be posted asap. Please report any problems\/protests to a Race Official ASAP!<\/p>

AWARDS CEREMONY:<\/strong><\/span> will take place as soon as all Results are Final and Official (aiming for 1:00pm). Please refer to the FISM website for the Podium placement breakdown for each race.<\/p>

2027 REGISTRATION:<\/strong><\/span> will be available during packet pick-up at the Registration Table. Race Date is Pending!<\/p>

7:30 AM \u2013 SEEDED MASS START = MEN<\/p>

7:31 AM \u2013 SEEDED MASS START = WOMEN<\/p>

9:20 AM \u2013 ANY REMAINING WC SKATERS ON THE COURSE WILL TAKE A PERIMETER PATH UNTIL FINISHED<\/p>
